The weather this week is set to be mild and humid but it will remain unsettled, according to Met Éireann.
It will be dry and bright to start this morning (Monday, April 13) with sunny spells and just isolated showers.
Through the morning, cloud will start to increase from the southwest but conditions will stay generally dry for the day across the southern half of the country before light drizzle moves in towards the evening.
Further north, showers will be slow to clear, turning heavy at times throughout the day with the chance of hail or isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures will be 9° to 13° or 14° in light to moderate southerly winds.
It will be dry and clear to start tonight for most. Cloud will continue to increase with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle feeding in over Connacht and Munster.
Tonight will be be somewhat cold, with lowest temperatures of 0° to 4° across Ulster, with a chance of frost.
Elsewhere, temperatures will be slightly milder, with lowest temperatures of 3° to 8°. Mist and fog patches will develop too under light to moderate south to southeast breezes.
It will be humid and dull tomorrow (Tuesday, April 14). Cloud will spread from the southwest through the morning with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
The rain will turn heavy at times through the evening over western counties, and there will be some hill, mist and coastal fog as well.
Tomorrow will be mild but breezy, with highest temperatures of 9° to 14° and light to moderate southeast winds, strong and gusty along coasts.
Tomorrow night will be wet and breezy overnight, with widespread rain, heavy at times, over southern and western counties. It will be a mild night, with lowest temperatures of 8° to 10°, in moderate to fresh southerly winds.
On Wednesday (April 15), rain and drizzle will be generally widespread, with heavy falls over southern and western parts early on.
Scattered showers will feed in from the Atlantic behind that rain, bringing further heavy falls over southern counties through the afternoon, with the chance of isolated thunderstorms.
It will feel mild on Wednesday, with highest temperatures of 11° to 16°, in a mostly fresh southwest wind, strong and gusty near coasts.
On Wednesday night, scattered showers will continue to feed in off the Atlantic but will gradually become more isolated and confined to western parts overnight.
Towards morning, clearer spells will develop further east with just isolated showers. Lowest temperatures will be 5° to 8° in moderate to fresh southwest winds, strong on coasts.
Thursday (April 16) will start off bright and crisp with just isolated showers. Long dry and sunny spells will develop through the day.
Into Thursday evening, cloud will increase from the southwest with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures will be 11° to 15° in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
On Thursday night, rain and drizzle will extend to most areas overnight. Scattered showers will follow in behind as the rain clears northeastwards towards morning.
Lowest temperatures will be 4° to 10°, coldest in the north, with light to moderate south to southeast winds.
Friday (April 17) looks set to be a generally unsettled day with rain and drizzle clearing to the northeast early on. Elsewhere will see scattered showers and the occasional sunny spell, with some showers turning heavy at times.
Highest temperatures on Friday will be 11° to 15° in mostly moderate south to southwest winds.
