Met Éireann has issued a further weather warning for more counties, to add to the warning for rain issued this morning (Thursday, April 9).
In the latest weather update, the national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for five counties.
These counties are Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo.
The warning will come into effect at 12:00p.m (noon) tomorrow (Friday, April 10) and will remain in place until 9:00p.m tomorrow night.
People living in these counties should expect strong and gusty south to south-east winds, with the potential for difficult travelling conditions and some fallen trees and branches.
That warning adds to the Status Yellow warning for rain that was issued earlier in the morning.
That warning will impact counties Cork, Kerry, and Waterford.
The rain warning will come into effect at 9:00a.m tomorrow morning and will remain in place for 12 hours, expiring at 9:00p.m tomorrow night.
In these counties, spells of heavy rain are expected tomorrow, with the potential for localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions, according to Met Éireann.
In general for tomorrow, it will be a wet and windy day with gales in coastal areas. Rain will be widespread and some heavy and squally bursts are possible, especially in the late afternoon and evening.
Highest temperatures will be 6° to 11° with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds.
It will stay wet and windy early tomorrow night, with gales on western, northern and eastern coasts. Some heavy and squally bursts of rain are possible.
The rain will clear eastwards overnight and will be followed by scattered showers of rain or sleet and some clear spells. Winds will ease too.
Lowest overnight temperatures tomorrow night will be between 1° to 5°, with fresh to strong and gusty south to south-west winds, decreasing moderate to fresh.
