The weather will turn largely settled over the weekend and into next week, Met Éireann has said.
Today (Friday, April 17) will be bright and breezy with sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures will be 11° to 14°C with moderate to fresh and gusty south to south-west winds.
Tonight, showers will continue, especially over Ulster, Connacht and west Munster. They will become isolated in the east and south-east, while some may be heavy.
Lowest temperatures tonight will be 2° to 7° with light to moderate west to south-west breezes. It will be coldest in the south.
Tomorrow (Saturday, April 18) will be a bright day with sunny spells and scattered showers. Showers will die out in the west during the afternoon but will continue in the east until late evening.
Highest temperatures tomorrow will be 10° to 14° with moderate west to north-west breezes, later decreasing light variable.
Tomorrow night will be cold and largely dry, with clear spells and just isolated showers in the north. Lowest temperatures will be 0° to 4° with light variable breezes.
Sunday (April 19) will be a largely dry day with bright or sunny spells. Highest temperatures will be 10° to 14° with light easterly or variable breezes.
Sunday night will be dry and clear. Lowest temperatures should be 0° to 5° with mainly light easterly breezes.
Monday (April 20) will be dry with sunny spells. Highest temperatures will be 10° to 14°, warmest in the west and coolest in the east with moderate easterly breezes.
Monday night is set to be dry, with lowest temperatures of 3° to 6°.
Tuesday (April 21) will be mainly dry. It will be cloudier, with a few showers possible in places through the day. It will be cool and breezy with highest temperatures of 10° to 12° and fresh easterly winds.
Wednesday (April 22) will continue mainly dry with bright or sunny spells. However, some showery rain is possible in the southwest. Highest temperatures are expected to be 11° to 15° with moderate to fresh easterly winds.
According to Met Éireann, current indications suggest that next Thursday (April 23) and Friday (April 24) will continue largely dry with sunny spells and temperatures increasing to the mid or high teens.
