The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has issued an update on the various scheme payments made to farmers this week.
Over €5.6 million was paid out to farmers this week under a number of schemes.
The department confirmed that under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS), €262,929 was paid this week.
119,277 farmers have now been paid over €845 million through these schemes.
The BISS/CRISS figure includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €38.4 million and the 2025 National Reserve of €3 million, the department said.
Under the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) this week, €2.11 million was paid out.
Under the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC), farmers received €51,455 this week.
Under the 2025 National Sheep Welfare Scheme, €180,239 was paid out this week.
€133,944 in payments under the Organic Farming Scheme were made this week.
The latest data from DAFM shows there was over €2.8 million issued to farmers for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) this week.
TAMS, which is co-funded by the EU, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holdings.
Under TAMS 3, 48,432 approvals have been issued to date, with 20,703 payment applications submitted and 17,911 total payments made.
TAMS 3 total payments now amount to over €164 million.
Under TAMS II, 54,013 was paid out this week.
