Nearly €1.7m issued in TAMS payments this week - DAFM

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) paid out €1.68 million to farmers under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) this week.

TAMS provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holdings.

The latest data published by the department shows 47,342 approvals have been issued to date for TAMS 3.

20,280 payment applications have been submitted, with 17,454 payments made.

The total payments allocated under TAMS 3 now stands at almost €160 million.

Scheme payments

The department also paid a further €251,085 this week under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).

118,742 farmers have now been issued with a total of €844.3 million under these measures.

This figure includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €38.2 million and the 2025 National Reserve of €3 million

An additional €891,705 was issued this week for the 2025 Eco Scheme, bringing the total paid to €307.58 million.

DAFM

The data shows €91,135 was issued through the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).

€80,000 was also paid out to farmers through the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES).

€42,639 was paid to farmers in the Protein Aid Scheme, while a further €22,982 was issued to those participating in the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS).

In addition, €6,435 was paid under the Red Clover Scheme and €3,258 for the Multi Species Sward (MSS) Scheme.
