Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic crash that occurred near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong, Co. Leitrim on last night (Sunday, May 17).
Shortly before 11:00p.m, gardaí and emergency services responded to a single vehicle collision involving a tractor on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen.
A male driver, aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been removed to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital and gardaí have said a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The local coroner has also been notified.
The road remains closed and the scene will be examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling on the L3355 between 10:30p.m and 11:00p.m yesterday (Sunday, May 17) are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.

This is the second fatal collision involving a tractor in recent weeks.
