The total number of application approvals issued under the current Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS) since it commenced in 2023 has now surpassed 43,000.
In the latest weekly update to scheme payments, which was issued today (Friday, March 13) by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the figures show that 43,004 approvals have issued to date under the scheme.
Of these approvals, 18,533 have resulted in payment claims being submitted, with 15,626 separate payments made for relevant on-farm investments covered by TAMS.
These payments amounted to a total of just over €142 million paid out through the scheme to date since the current TAMS programme got underway.
Of that amount, €2.96 million was paid in the last seven days.
Turning to other schemes, €760,578 was paid in the last seven days under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and the Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
At this point, €839.72 million has been paid out under the 2025 BISS and CRISS to 118,499 farmers.
The BISS and CRISS total payment figure of €839.72 million includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers (CISYF) of €35.7 million and the 2025 National Reserve of €2.9 million.
Also on Pillar I of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the total number of farmers paid under the 2025 eco-scheme is now 117,926, who have now received a total of €303.99 million.
In Pillar II, under the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES), a further €380,000 was paid this week, with €744.68 million paid in total under the scheme since it began in 2023.
Elsewhere, the latest payments update shows that 24,214 farmers have now been paid a total of €28.07 million under the 2025 Beef Welfare Scheme.
Under the 2025 CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme, a total of €5.99 million has been paid to 9,175 farmers.
The 2025 National Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme has now seen total payments exceed €4 million, with 8,153 farmers having been paid at this point.
Under the 2025 Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme (SCEP), total payments now stand at €51.11 million, paid to 15,557 farmers.
Under the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) Scheme (which includes payments for areas of specific constraint), a further €132,823 was paid this week, bringing total payments to €245.96 million for 97,765 farmers.
For the 2025 National Sheep Welfare Scheme, total payments have reached €21.21 million, paid to 16,727 farmers, with €14,691 paid in the last seven days; while in the 2025 Sheep Improvement Scheme, total payments have reached €18.05 million, with 16,667 farmers paid.
