One of the most trusted machinery parts specialists in Europe, Kramp, is now providing the most efficient ‘one-stop-shop’ in Ireland for machinery parts.

Having acquired Mayo-based company Genfitt in 2023, solidifying its position in the all-Ireland market, Kramp now offers the widest range of machinery parts and accessories to not just the agricultural sector, but also the forestry and construction sectors.

Suppliers of parts and hardware, farmers and contractors will no longer have to wait days for the arrival of parts and can secure what they need within 24 hours by ordering via Genfitt.

Kramp, a family-owned business which has its headquarters in The Netherlands, is the largest supplier of parts into the European market with a turnover of €1.3 billion.

Kramp has been in business for 75 years and its acquisition of Genfitt, based in Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo, in 2023 was a natural fit, given the Mayo company’s extensive customer base built up over 50 years.

Country director and general manager of Kramp, William Judge said: “Kramp has a long history in Ireland and wanted to grow its position in the Irish market.

“It sees the Irish agricultural equipment market as a great opportunity to grow its footprint across Europe”.

Kramp saw the opportunity with Genfitt to secure a solid basis with good distribution channels, which is key in the parts industry.

Major investment in Mayo business

Not only has the purchase of Genfitt secured the future of the west of Ireland-based business, it has also resulted in major investment in the facility.

“Kramp didn’t buy Genfitt to make the business smaller; it wants to and has grown the business year-on-year and has strong plans in place to continue this growth,” Judge explained.

Kramp has said since acquiring Genfitt, it has retained and grown the number of staff to 60 at the Mayo-based business, and existing clients will see the same faces and representatives serving them.

“From a Genfitt perspective, there are all of the enhancements of working with a multinational, with lots of securities for our staff, plus you have the benefits of a far greater product portfolio,” Judge added.

It is this wide range of products that sets Kramp apart from its competitors in the market.

With more than 310,000 products available through Kramp, and access to a virtual assortment of more than two million products, Irish customers both north and south now have access to a greater assortment of tractor components that ever before.

“The availability and diversity of parts components is immense.”

They can also receive parts in a much quicker timeframe with a 24-hour turnaround through Genfitt or 48 hours via Kramp.

Since 2023, Kramp has invested more than €600,000 in the Mayo facility with further investment planned and additional recruitment planned up to 2030.

Vapormatic

One of the most prestigious brands stocked by Kramp since late last year is Vapormatic.

Vapormatic is a highly respected name among farmers and dealers for its reliable, high-quality parts.

The vast Vapormatic portfolio of over 10,000 products has been integrated into Kramp’s already extensive range.

In addition, Vapormatic is also available through Genfitt (Kramp Parts Ireland Ltd) in Kiltimagh, offering next-day delivery on stocked lines.

The portfolio includes key product categories such as filters, engine parts, axle and steering components, brakes, and much more – providing comprehensive coverage for servicing and repair requirements.

This dual-channel availability ensures dealers can access the parts they need with speed and flexibility, backed by dependable supply and consistent product quality.

“Historically Kramp would have been in a more traditional base around grass and slurry equipment and animal husbandry,” Judge added.

“Going forward if we look at the Vapormatic brand, it’s a big supplier to the tractor and components sector and we see a lot of growth for this brand over the next 18 months in particular.

“It’s increasing our assortment here in Mayo, which means if a machine breaks on the island of Ireland, we’ll have the part overnight.”

Vapormatic offers a larger assortment of components than most other brands and has long been used by major machinery heavyweights such as Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and John Deere.

For dealers, the quick availability of engine and transmission componentry means that they do not necessarily need to have the stock on their shelves, but can order it daily and have it within 24 hours.

The addition of Vapormatic significantly enhances Kramp’s already comprehensive portfolio, giving dealers even greater depth of choice across key product categories.
