When Nora Leader from Cahirbarnagh, Rathmore, Co. Kerry, and Jerome O'Brien from Ballykitt, Mallow, Co. Cork pledged their troth, they were keen to include lots of farming references - even slurry - throughout their wedding day.
Both from farming backgrounds, they are together 10 years after meeting on Tinder.
Jerome works on his family dairy enterprise, Ballykitt Farm, in Ballyclough, Mallow, with his father, Martin.
Nora is a medical secretary in Charleville, and her dad, Richard, is also a dairy farmer.
Nora recalled: "We got married on Saturday, December 20, in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmore, with the reception at The Rose Hotel, Tralee. There were 220 guests.
"We wanted to include some farming bits in the wedding as Jerome has such a big passion for farming," she explained.
"He cleaned up his tractor at home for some photos before heading to the church in Rathmore. His Case 230 was shining with ribbons on it too."
Nora bought her wedding dress in the White Ivy boutique in Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
Joe kitted out his groomsmen in suits from Morley's Formal Wear, Cork.
"My bridesmaids - my three sisters - wore dresses from Folkster, Dublin. Our flowers were done by Elizabeth Cott from Wonderous Weddings," Nora said.
"Our wedding cake was a beautiful farming themed cake made by the talented Caroline Bell of Cakes by Caroline B.
"It had three tiers with fruit cake on top, the middle tier was lemon and lime sponge and the bottom tier two types of biscuit cake. It was hand-painted with two Friesians on top and a red tractor on the bottom.
"It really caught the attention of all our guests. They were amazed by it. Caroline told us after that our cake got thousands of views on her Instagram," Nora said.
The farming references did not end there for the happy couple.
"The big one for us was our postbox. I saw a picture of a slurry tank postbox on TikTok and said I would love a similar one," Nora explained.
"My brothers in-law, Reece Nelligan and Dylan O'Donoghue, said they would make it out of an old compressor.
Reece, who is a welder in Liebherr, Killarney, and Dylan who is an accountant "but very crafty with this kind of work, spent hours making it for us".
"Our guests were amazed, and it was the main topic at our wedding," she said.
"It was so well done and so realistic with wheels and a dribble bar on the back.
"All of our guests were taking pictures of it and kept complimenting it and wanted to know where we bought it."
The wedding photos were done by Janusz and Justyna Trzesicki and the video by Brendan Reidy. Keeping everyone on their feet was award-winning country singer, Stuart Moyles.
"The highlight of our wedding day was the atmosphere from beginning to end," Nora said.
"The slurry tank and the cake made all the guests so excited and amazed, which was lovely to see."
The couple, who live at Ballyclough, honeymooned on a two-week Southern Caribbean cruise.
"It was great to soak up the sun and talk about such a fantastic day before the busy calving season began," Nora said.
