The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has issued an update on the various scheme payments made to farmers this week.
Over €5.1 million was paid out to farmers this week under a number of schemes.
The department confirmed that under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS), €247,530 was paid this week.
118,703 farmers have now been paid over €843.67 million through these schemes.
The BISS/CRISS figure includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €38.1 million and the 2025 National Reserve of €3 million, the department said.
Over €1.3 million was issued to farmers this week in 2025 Eco Scheme payments.
118,691 farmers have now been paid a total of €306.69 million.
Farmers in the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC) schemes were paid €93,305 this week.
€20,000 was paid out under the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) this week.
Under the 2025 National Sheep Welfare Scheme, €16,364 was paid to farmers.
€6,435 was paid out under the 2025 Red Clover Scheme while €3,258 was paid out under the 2025 Multi Species Sward Scheme.
The latest data from DAFM shows there was over €3.4 million issued to farmers for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) this week.
TAMS, which is co-funded by the EU, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holdings.
Under TAMS 3, 45,987 approvals have been issued to date, with 19,982 payment applications submitted and 17,039 total payments made.
TAMS 3 total payments now amount to over €155 million.
