Over €2m issued by DAFM in scheme payments this week

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) paid out more than €2 million in farm scheme payments this week.

The department confirmed that a further €884,684 was issued to farmers under the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complementary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).

118,104 farmers have now been paid over €835.41 million through these schemes.

The total figure includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €34.2 million and the 2024 National Reserve of €2.8 million.

TAMS

The latest data from DAFM shows there was over €90,742 issued to farmers for the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS) this week.

€85,325 was paid out under the current TAMS 3 programme, with €5,417 issued through TAMS 2.

TAMS, which is co-funded by the EU, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holdings.

Under the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC), €371,643 was paid out this week.

This brings total payments to €244 million, paid out to 97,162 farmers.

Scheme payments

Under the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES), there was €570,000 paid out, DAFM figures show.

This brings the total amount paid out under ACRES to €742.84 million.

A total of €124,909 was paid to farmers in the Organic Farming Scheme this week.

Under the 2025 Protein Aid Scheme, €28,492 was paid to farmers.
