A Status Yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Cork; Carlow; Dublin; Kilkenny; Waterford; Wexford and Wicklow from 11:00p.m tomorrow night (Tuesday, February 17) until 11:00p.m on Wednesday (February 18).
The national forecaster said the rain falling on already saturated ground combined with high river levels will lead to possible flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued Dublin; Louth; Meath; Wexford and Wicklow.
This warning will be valid from 11:00p.m on Tuesday until 1:00p.m on Wednesday.
The strong and gusty southeasterly winds combined with high tides may lead to wave overtopping, fallen trees and loose debris.

The rain, which will be heavy at times, will turn to sleet or snow and will be accompanied by strengthening winds.
The warning will be in place from 2:00a.m until 2:00p.m on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the UK Met Office has issued an ice warning for Northern Ireland tonight.
Wintry showers in Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry will be followed by clear skies.
This will lead to the risk of ice developing on Monday night into Tuesday morning.
The warning is due to be in place from 8:00p.m tonight until 10:00a.m on Tuesday.
