Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning.
Affected counties are Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
The warning is in place today (Saturday, April 11) immediately, until 7:00p.m tonight.
Scattered thunderstorms with the chance of hail can be expected.
Potential impacts include: localised flooding; difficult travelling conditions; and lightning damage.
Rain and wind weather warnings are also currently in place.
A Status Yellow wind warning is in place for counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo until 2:00p.m today, bringing very strong and gusty south to south west winds.
Met Éireann also issued a Status Yellow wind and rain warning for counties Cork and Kerry.
These two counties can expect very strong and gusty south westerly winds, along with squally heavy showers or longer spells of rain and a chance of hail and thunder.
This warning is valid from 12:00p.m until 8:00p.m today.
Met Éireann said tonight, scattered showers will continue to feed in from the west overnight, with some heavier falls to the north west.
Clear spells will develop at times too with showers easing over eastern parts towards morning.
Sunday will be another breezy and bright day with scattered showers gradually becoming more isolated by the afternoon.
Plenty of sunny breaks are expected too, the best of which will be in the south and south east.
