The weather is expected to become more changeable this week with cooler than average temperatures, according to Met Éireann.
This morning (Monday, May 11), will be cloudy and dry in most areas, with some patchy light rain and drizzle.
Brighter conditions will extend from the north later with the best of the sunny spells in Ulster and Leinster.
There will be light to moderate north to north-west breezes with highest temperatures of 11° to 16°C.
Cloud is expected to build tonight in the north-west bringing some light rain and drizzle, staying dry in southern areas. Overnight lows of 4° to 9°, with light to moderate west or north-west winds.
Any patchy light rain and drizzle will clear south-eastwards on Tuesday, becoming dry for most areas with sunny spells developing.
However, it will be cloudier in Ulster where there will be isolated showers.
Highest daytime temperatures will be of 13° to 17°, feeling cooler in the north and north-west.
Moderate to fresh west to north-west winds will become strong at times later in the day along Atlantic coasts.
A mixture of cloud and clear spells on Tuesday night with scattered showers extending southwards, some heavy falls possible in the north and north-east.

Wednesday will be a bright and breezy day with sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy falls are possible, particularly in the northeast.
Afternoon highs of 11° to 14° in fresh to strong and gusty north-west winds, easing later in the day.
Scattered showers will become mostly confined to the north and northwest on Wednesday night, isolated showers elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 4° to 9° in moderate north-west winds.

Met Éireann said that rainfall amounts this week will range from approximately 20% of average in the south to 150% of average in the north.
It will generally be cooler than average in the coming week, with temperatures of 9° to 11°, which is around 1° below normal values for this time of year. Mean soil temperatures will remain above normal.
Drying conditions will be moderate or good today and tomorrow. As more rainfall is expected from Wednesday onwards, drying conditions will deteriorate. However, drying will be moderate between showers.
There will be opportunities for spraying today and tomorrow with any rainfall being light and scattered and often light winds.
As it will turn breezier later on Tuesday, this could impact spraying, while more changeable conditions from Wednesday will limit spraying opportunities.
Soil moisture deficits for all soil types generally range from around 10mm to 52mm, with the largest deficits in the east. However, poorly drained soils in the south are closer to saturation with values of 1mm to 5mm.
These values are expected to remain broadly similar for the coming week, but will decrease slightly in the north-west.
