Gardaí are investigating the theft of a number of items of machinery in Co. Cavan.
The items included a mulcher, a mechanical tree shears, and an excavator grab.
The incident is understood to have occurred sometime between Sunday afternoon (March 15) and the Tuesday morning (March 17).
The theft occurred from a yard in the Ballyhaise area, to the north of Cavan town.
Gardaí are asking anyone with information on the theft to contact them.
A garda statement to Agriland said: "Gardaí received a report of the theft of items of agricultural machinery from a yard at Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, which occurred sometime between 2:00p.m on March 15 and 11:25a.m on March 17."
The garda statement confirmed that the items stolen were an MDE tree shears, a McCulloch tree mulcher, and an MDE scorpion grab for an excavator.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Cavan Garda Station on 049 436 8800 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111," the garda statement added.
The statement said that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Also this week, gardaí have appealed for information following the theft of a sheep trailer in Co. Donegal.
Gardaí said that the theft incident occurred in the area of Billary, Pettigo, right by the border, between 5:30p.m on Tuesday, March 10 and 9:00a.m on Wednesday, March 11.
A Garda spokesperson said: "A galvanised sheep trailer was stolen from a yard in that area between those times."

The number of reported incidents of 'theft of farm equipment' has been in decline since 2023.
According to data from An Garda Síochána, there were 132 of these reported incidents in 2025, down from 214 in 2024, and 228 in 2023.
The statistics were revealed recently by Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Niall Collins in response to a parliamentary question from Louth TD Paula Butterly.
Minister Collins said the government is "committed to building stronger, safer communities across the country".
