Heineken has today (Tuesday, January 27) confirmed it is increasing the prices of its draught beer products from next month.
The price rise will be applied across the company's range which includes Heineken; Heineken 0.0; Birra Moretti; Orchard Thieves; Beamish; Murphy's; Coors and Foster's.
The company also has a range of craft and variety beers.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Heineken said: "Our business continues to face cost increases and while we are committed to finding and acting on ways to reduce those costs, we unfortunately need to amend our pricing".
"As strong supporters of the on-trade market we will continue to invest in a range of supports that meet customer and consumer needs.
"A blended 3.1% increase will take effect from February 16, 2026 across our draught product range," the spokesperson added.
Heineken, which employs almost 400 people across the island of Ireland, describes itself "as a major supporter of Irish agriculture, using Irish barley from Irish farming families to brew our beers".
Earlier this month, Diageo announced that it was increasing the price of its pints again from next month due to "industry-wide cost pressures".
The drinks company said that in order to maintain sustainable operations in Ireland its has informed publicans that there will be an increase to the list prices on its full draught product range.
This means that a pint of Guinness will increase by 7 cent, while 10 cent will be added to the cost of a pint of Guinness 0.0.
Diageo confirmed that the price increases will take effect from February 2, 2026.
The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI) has strongly criticised Diageo’s decision, warning that the move will pile yet more pressure on pubs already struggling to survive.
