DAFM: TAMS tranche 8 application approvals reach 82%

82% of applications made by farmers under tranche 8 of the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) have now been approved.

The latest data, published by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), shows that 4,419 of the 5,364 applications made in this tranche have been given the green light.

A further 564 applications are still being considered by department officials, while 294 were rejected and a further 87 withdrawn.

TAMS 3 provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding.

TAMS

DAFM also confirmed that 4,337 approvals have been issued under tranche 6 of TAMS 3.

322 out of the total 4,930 applications made in this tranche are yet to be fully processed, 324 have been rejected, and 139 were withdrawn.

Meanwhile, 41 applications are in progress tranche 7, under which 1,870 applications have been given the green light, 217 rejected, and 53 withdrawn.
