The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has issued an update on key information and dates for farm partnerships in 2026.
There are a number of financial benefits to help encourage and maintain the development of farm partnerships in Ireland.
These include preferential stock relief for Registered Farm Partnerships and the Collaborative Farming Grant.
All of the main farming enterprises can enter a Registered Farm Partnership.
DAFM said that applications are accepted and processed all year round.
Applicants wishing to have their Registered Farm Partnership number in time to submit by the 2026 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) Scheme deadline, must submit fully completed application and requirements by February 2, 2026.

This single payment grant provides financial support to farmers seeking advice from accredited legal, accounting and advisory professionals in the setting up of a Registered Farm Partnership.
It is open to Registered Farm Partnerships new to DAFM's Farm Partnership Register.
The application period is from August 10 to September 30, 2026.
Grant payments will be issued in Q4 2026.

This single payment grant provides financial support to farmers aged 60 years and over, seeking succession planning advice from accredited legal, accounting and advisory professionals.
The application period is from January 1 to November 30, 2026.
Grant payments will be issued in Q1 2027.
