DAFM: Almost 350 TAMS applications to be processed in tranche 8

344 applications made by farmers under tranche 8 of the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) are yet to be processed.

The latest data, published by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), shows that 4,615 (86%) of the 5,364 applications made in this tranche have been approved.

318 applications have been rejected under this round of the scheme, while 87 have been withdrawn.

The following table provides an update on the status of tranche 8 applications across the various TAMS schemes:

TAMS 3 provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding.

The department also confirmed that 4,359 approvals have been issued under tranche 6 of TAMS 3.

103 out of the total 4,930 applications made in this tranche are yet to be fully processed, 329 have been rejected, and 139 were withdrawn.

23 applications are deemed to be still in progress tranche 7. The figures show 1,878 applications have been given the green light, 227 rejected, and 53 withdrawn.

Meanwhile, the department paid out over €90,742 to farmers for under TAMS last week.

€85,325 was paid out under the current TAMS 3 programme, with €5,417 issued through TAMS 2.
