Brickey Rangers GAA Club in west Co. Waterford has been gifted 4.7ac of land by Coolmore Stud and the Magnier family.
The club plans to use the land to develop a new playing field, sports hall and extra parking facilities.
The lands form part of a larger 203ac land holding currently on the market.
Brickey Rangers, known locally as ‘The Brickeys’, draws members from Glenbeg and Carriglea national schools and from the rural area that extends to nearby Dungarvan town.
The land donation will increase the size of The Brickeys' grounds to 16ac approximately.
The club has said that it will also enable the development of a third playing field and a new sports hall for the expanding club and additional space for parking for safety and access.
Development officer for The Brickeys, Brian Hilliard said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Magnier family for their generosity.
"This donation will help transform our club’s facilities for generations to come.
"It will mean new and improved facilities, including plans for a new playing field and sports hall.
"We were delighted with the gift but also the sentiment behind it. Coolmore wanted to recognise the key role that both farming and the GAA play in retaining our young people in the area and in staying active," he added.
The club stated that Coolmore Stud has been a "very good" neighbour and the club has maintained an "excellent relationship" with Coolmore over the years.
