Bandon's recent annual tractor and truck run, which featured a new route this year, attracted 200 vehicles on the day.
The run has raised funds for Bandon Special Olympics and Bandon Athletic Club over the years.
This year, Bandon Community First Responders will also benefit from the money raised, which is still being counted, according to Daniel Seaman of the organising committee. A raffle was also held as part of the fundraising effort.
The new route started at Bandon Co-Op Mart, which has been involved with the run since its initiation, going via Bandon bypass onto Kilbrittan, on to Garretstown beach, into Ballinspittle, on to Ballinadee, before returning to Bandon.
The line-up of tractors included two from Adare, Co. Limerick.
"We had a mix of everything taking part, including John Deeres, Marshalls, Nutfields, David Browns, Fords, and New Hollands," Daniel said.
The truck run was very well supported, with a number of hauliers based in Bandon taking part, he added. They included: Trunwit Transport; Gash Transport; Tony O'Mahony Agri, Plant and Haulage; Mark Troy, agricultural contractor; and Dean Agri Contractors.
There was also support from local car clubs, businesses, and volunteers who worked as stewards. Advance Catering provided food on the day.
The run was started by Tom and Jean Deane who were keen to support local charities. Others on the committee include: Sinead and Ger Seaman; Daniel Seaman; Milly Seaman; Lorna and Ken Kingston; and Lauren Kingston.
Daniel outlined how the run took a year-long break two years ago but has returned with a bang.
"We got a really good response to the new route this year," he said.
