The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) paid out nearly €5.5 million under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) this week.
The latest data shows that 41,893 TAMS 3 applications had been approved by Friday (February 27).
18,109 payment applications had been submitted, with 14,911 payments worth a total of over €135.7 million issued.
The scheme provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding.
The data, published by the department, also shows that over €770,000 was paid this week for the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
More than €838 million has now been paid to 118,376 farmers through these schemes.
This total includes the 2025 Complementary Income Support for Young Farmers of €34.5 million and the 2024 National Reserve of €2.8 million.
An additional €567,000 was paid out this week for the Eco Scheme.
While €262,000 issued to farmers for the Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraint (ASC).
The largest payment run this week was the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan (CSP) Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme.
Almost €6 million was paid to 9,175 farmers who participated in the second year of the scheme.
This week saw an additional €390,000 paid to farmers in the Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES).
This brings the total paid out for the agri-environmental scheme to almost €744 million.
There was also €77,000 paid out under Organic Farming Scheme (OFS) and €66,000 for the Straw Incorporation Measure (SIM).
