The Life with SenseHub Series, running from January 26 to March 22, will follow four dairy farmers from across the country as they share their personal experiences of how their lives have changed since installing SenseHub on their farms.

The series goes beyond the technology itself, focusing on how SenseHub has impacted each farmer’s lifestyle, decision-making and confidence, both on and off the farm.

From freeing up time away from the yard to improving breeding performance, identifying early health issues, and supporting smoother spring transitions out to grass, the series highlights the practical, everyday benefits of data-driven farming.

Each farmer featured in the series tells their story about how they use SenseHub in a different way, reflecting the diverse ways SenseHub can adapt to individual farm needs. Viewers and readers will hear first-hand how the technology has helped farmers improve efficiencies, reduce labour pressures, and gain greater peace of mind during key busy periods of the farming year.

Life with SenseHub Series

The first farmer to feature in the series is new entrant to dairy, Ashleigh Fennell, a dairy farmer from Co. Carlow milking 100 cows.

A long-term SenseHub user, Ashleigh discusses the role SenseHub plays in freeing up time for her to enjoy away from the farm, enabling a better work–life balance and how she uses the system to monitor rumination to successfully transition cows out to grass during the busy spring period.

Next in the series is Dale Byers, who farms 200 dairy cows alongside his wife and social media star Vicki in Co. Fermanagh.

Life with SenseHub for Dale means improved breeding performance for the herd, relying on the system’s heat detection alerts to accurately identify cows ready for service and improve insemination timing.

The monitoring technology for Dale and Vicki has significantly reduced the time and labour previously spent on visual heat detection, giving them greater confidence in their breeding decisions while also helping maximise conception rates using sexed semen.

Dermot Reilly, farming 120 cows in Co. Mayo, will appear later in the series with a strong emphasis on SenseHub's role in improving animal health and early disease detection.

Life with SenseHub for Dermot means focusing on the things that matter most, like time with his family away from the farm.

Dermot also outlines how the installation of the SenseHub Drafting Gate has streamlined his daily workload and reduced stress during busy periods.

The final farmer in the series is John O’Callaghan from Co. Cork, who milks 150 cows and uses a range of SenseHub Ecosystem solutions, including SenseHub Behaviour Monitoring, SenseHub Youngstock and SenseHub Drafting.

John’s episode showcases how integrated monitoring across the whole lifetime of his herd is driving efficiencies in every aspect across his farm system.

Through video and podcast discussions, the Life with SenseHub Series offers an in-depth look at how the technology fits into every day farming lives, highlighting not just improved performance, but improved quality of life for farmers and their families.

The series will be published across Agriland’s digital platforms, with new content released every fortnight from January 26, 2026.
